What I did this Weekend

Since I've been in SF for over a month now, it's been my plan to restart a blog and keep track of the amazing places I travel to, food, clothes, sweat, tears and all. I'd consider this more of a personal diary meant to excite and inspire those around me. Hopefully you enjoy :)

I've been making an effort to get out and enjoy the beautiful SF weather while it lasts (which won't be for long). This weekend I decide to swear off alcohol, be slightly unsocial, and get outdoors!

Saturday I went on a 2 hour walk through the Presidio to the Golden Gate Bridge, through Crissy Field and up the most gruesome hill of my life to get back to my apartment. A walk in SF is never as easy as it sounds, especially with all the steep inclines and declines!

Sundays are usually extremely unproductive, spent either hungover or on the couch watching football.
It was decided that this Sunday would be spent brunching and venturing out of the usual spots. After trying to get into Plow (a whopping 2 hour wait!), in Potrero Hill, we decided to hit up the Mission. Brunch in SF is always an ordeal, at least an hour wait anywhere. You'd think by this time there would be enough amazing restaurants to seat everyone, but we settled on Mission Beach Cafe where the wait was only 45 minutes woohoo! After walking around the block, and munching on a cranberry orange scone and bran muffin (both were amazing and only $4.50 all together!) we we're seated. Thank god we stayed because I've never had better french toast in my life. Their Brioche French toast was covered in fresh fruit, bourbon syrup, and topped with a dollop of mascarpone whipped cream. Yea, I'd say right then and there my Sunday was made.
